Audience Segments are groups of your readers that exhibit particular characteristics. These groups could be identified by location (e.g. local readers), device (e.g. desktop, mobile, or tablet), or referral source (e.g. social media, newsletters).
Any audience group you can define through your primary analytics platform can be tracked in Metrics for News as an Audience Segment. You can see an overview of all your Audience Segments, as well as a detailed dashboard for each individual segment, in the Audiences Dashboard. Each Audience Segment is measured by a unique Engagement Score, so you can see how the people in that segment engage with your stories.
